Youn Yuh Jung Confirmed To Star On PD Na Young Suk's New Variety Program + Lee Seo Jin In Talks To Join
Producing director (PD) Na Young Suk is gearing up for a new variety show with Youn Yuh Jung!
On March 2, JTBC news reported that PD Na Young Suk will be working with Youn Yuh Jung and Lee Seo Jin on a new variety program filmed in Los Angeles. In response to the report, a source from tvN stated, “PD Na Young Suk is currently planning a program to film with Youn Yuh Jung. Lee Seo Jin is in talks to star on the show.”
PD Na Young Suk first worked with Youn Yuh Jung in 2013 on “Noonas Over Flowers,” and the two worked together along with Lee Seo Jin on “Youn’s Kitchen” Seasons 1 and 2 as well as the spin-off program “Youn’s Stay.” The upcoming show will be in a completely different format from these pre-existing programs.
According to the report, the new program is titled “Unexpected Yuh Jung” (literal translation), with the “Yuh Jung” in the title also referring to the Korean word for journey. The new variety program will depict Youn Yuh Jung’s everyday life in Los Angeles, and PD Shin Hyo Jung will also be in charge of directing along with PD Na Young Suk. The cast and crew will reportedly leave for Los Angeles in mid-March, and the program is slated to premiere in May via tvN.
Last year, Youn Yuh Jung made history as the first Korean actress to win at the Academy Awards. She is also starring in the upcoming drama “Pachinko.” Meanwhile, Lee Seo Jin recently starred in the TVING drama “Dr. Park’s Clinic.”
