Lee Seung Gi Receives Award For Being Exemplary Taxpayer

Lee Seung Gi was recognized for his contributions to society!

As part of Taxpayers’ Day each year, the National Tax Service carries out an annual tradition of awarding citizens for being exemplary taxpayers. This year, Lee Seung Gi received presidential commendations and was also appointed as an honorary ambassador for the National Tax Service in 2022.

According to the announcement made by the National Tax Service, the reasons cited for why he was chosen as a candidate were due to his contributions to Korea’s cultural and artistic development as well as the Hallyu wave, in addition to his sincere tax payments that contributed to the development of the country. As a result of being named an honorary ambassador, he will carry out various promotional activities over the year to spread the culture of sincere tax payment. The appointment ceremony is currently scheduled to take place at the end of April.

In the past, out of the celebrities that have been selected every year as exemplary tax payers, two have been appointed as ambassadors. In 2020 and 2021, actors Lee Seo Jin and Park Min Young were appointed respectively. They both also received the presidential commendation award.
