Watch: Kim Tae Ri, Nam Joo Hyuk, WJSN's Bona, And More Look Out For Each Other On Set Of "Twenty Five, Twenty One"
tvN has released a new making video for “Twenty Five, Twenty One”!
Set in 1998, “Twenty Five, Twenty One” tells the story of youth whose dreams were taken from them due to the IMF crisis. Kim Tae Ri stars as Na Hee Do, an aspiring fencer, and Nam Joo Hyuk stars as Baek Yi Jin, whose family was torn apart due to the financial crisis. Na Hee Do and Baek Yi Jin first meet when they are 18 and 22 years old and fall in love years later when they are 21 and 25.
The behind-the-scenes video starts with Nam Joo Hyuk, Choi Hyun Wook, Lee Joo Myung, and Kim Tae Ri filming a late-night scene at school. As Choi Hyun Wook and Lee Joo Myung film their scene running down the hall out of fear, Choi Hyun Wook accidentally falls over but brushes it off like it was intentional. While monitoring the scene, a staff member asks, “Did you really fall?” and Choi Hyun Wook shyly replies, “Yes…”
The next scene features the main group helping Nam Joo Hyuk on his moving day. As Kim Tae Ri and WJSN’s Bona rehearse their lines for the tense and awkward scene, Nam Joo Hyuk lightens the mood by throwing in distracting improvisations.
While inside the house, Kim Tae Ri worries about hitting her head on the ceiling when Nam Joo Hyuk lifts her up. To reassure her, he carefully carries her around to make sure she feels comfortable.
Next, Kim Tae Ri and Bona prepare for their heated fencing match. The two joke around with their blades but before filming starts, Kim Tae Ri showcases her leadership as she clarifies how the scene should proceed.
The two stars continue getting their posture and movements overseen by their fencing coaches and pour all their dedication into practicing. Following their match, Kim Tae Ri is joined by Nam Joo Hyuk to film their interview scene. After a seemingly flawless take, Kim Tae Ri bursts into laughter after Nam Joo Hyuk forgets to call her “athlete Na Hee Do.”
Later, Bona films her emotional scene on the diving board. Given the crazy height of the platform, Bona expresses nerves, but Kim Tae Ri kindly climbs up to join and comfort her.
