BTS, TWICE, ENHYPEN, ITZY, Kep1er, And More Earn Gaon Platinum Certifications

Gaon Chart has announced its latest batch of official certifications!

In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Gaon Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while songs receive a platinum certification at 100 million streams or 2.5 million downloads.

On March 10, Gaon announced that ENHYPEN’s latest repackaged album “DIMENSION : ANSWER” along with TWICE’s eighth mini album “Feel Special” received double platinum certifications after selling over 500,000 copies each.

Meanwhile, Kep1er’s debut mini album “FIRST IMPACT” as well as ITZY’s mini album “Not Shy” were both certified platinum.

In the download category, Jang Beom June’s “Melo is my Nature” OST “Your Shampoo Scent in the Flowers” received a platinum certification for reaching 2.5 million downloads.

In the streaming category, BTS earned a platinum certification with “Butter” after surpassing 100 million streams. “VVS” (featuring JUSTHIS) (produced by GroovyRoom) by Mirani, Munchman, Khundi Panda, and MUSHVENOM for “Show Me The Money 9” also went platinum.
