Seo Ji Hye And Kim Moo Joon Make An Unusual Mixed Doubles Team In New Badminton Drama

KBS’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Going to You at a Speed of 493 km” (literal translation) has released new stills of Seo Ji Hye and Kim Moo Joon!

“Going to You at a Speed of 493 km” stars Park Ju Hyun as Park Tae Yang, a 25-year-old who only lives for sports, and Chae Jong Hyeop as Park Tae Joon, a 25-year-old for whom sports is just work, who meet as mixed doubles partners on a badminton works team.

In the supporting cast, Kim Moo Joon plays star badminton player Yoon Jung Hwan, who has his own fan club that follows him around. He is beloved for his good looks and all-around talent, but his weak point is his self-discipline. He is a classic tsundere character who appears prickly on the outside but is sweet on the inside.

Seo Ji Hye plays Lee Yoo Min, the daughter of Lee Tae Sang (Jo Han Chul), an Olympic gold medalist and the director of the badminton works team UNIS. She follows in her father’s footsteps and shows a lot of talent for strategic play, but has earned the nickname “the jinx queen” for the numerous accidents that happen whenever she’s playing an important game.

In the new stills, Kim Moo Joon and Seo Ji Hye team up as mixed doubles partners on the court. Seo Ji Hye handles the net while Kim Moo Joon covers the back of the court. Holding their rackets upright, the two show their competitive spirit through their fierce and focused stares. Interestingly, the two are actually wearing different uniforms, with Kim Moo Joon wearing the UNIS uniform and Seo Ji Hye wearing the Somang Bank uniform. How did members of two different teams come together as partners, and how will their relationship develop from here?

The production staff stated, “Kim Moo Joon and Seo Ji Hye are creating good synergy that fits the image of our drama very well. Both actors showed an immersion into their characters that was even better than expected and add to the entertainment level of the drama. Look forward to their chemistry, which is different from the one shown by Park Ju Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop.”

“Going to You at a Speed of 493 km” premieres on April 20 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
