Update: GHOST9's Lee Jin Woo Tests Positive For COVID-19

Updated March 19 KST: 

GHOST9’s Lee Jin Woo is the third member of the group to test positive for COVID-19.

Maroo Entertainment stated, “On the morning of March 19, Lee Jin Woo showed signs of coughing. He immediately went to the hospital, took a rapid antigen detection test, and was diagnosed with COVID-19.”

The agency stated that Lee Jin Woo had completed three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and has no symptoms apart from his cough. He is currently isolating separately from the other members.

Maroo continued, “The other members continue to test negative with self-testing kits and we will continue monitoring their condition closely and testing them regularly.”

GHOST9’s Son Jun Hyung has tested positive for COVID-19.

On March 18, the group’s agency Maroo Entertainment released the following statement:

Hello. This is Maroo Entertainment.

We are informing you that GHOST9 member Son Jun Hyung tested positive for COVID-19.

Likewise to what we informed you yesterday (March 17), after member Lee Kang Sung tested positive for COVID-19, all the members underwent relevant testing.

As a result, all the members tested negative, but Son Jun Hyung began to show cold symptoms since the evening, so he visited the hospital this morning and underwent rapid antigen testing again. He ultimately tested positive for COVID-19.

Son Jun Hyung has completed three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and we reconfirmed that Lee Kang Sung has also received three doses. They do not have any symptoms other than those of a mild cold, so they are receiving treatment and rest at home in keeping with the government health authorities’ guidelines.

All the other members who initially tested negative currently have no special symptoms, and they will continue to monitor their health status.

The agency will do our best to support Lee Kang Sung and Son Jun Hyung so that they can recover quickly, and we will put our artists’ health and safety first while dutifully cooperating with the government health authorities’ guidelines.

Hello, this is Maroo Entertainment.

We are informing you that GHOST9 member Lee Kang Sung has tested positive for COVID-19.

Lee Kang Sung has been experiencing cold symptoms since last night, so he used a self-testing kit and got positive results. Afterwards, he visited a hospital where he conducted a rapid antigen test and was ultimately diagnosed with COVID-19.

Lee Kang Sung already completed two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and he only has mild cold symptoms. In accordance with the disease control authorities’ guidelines, he will temporarily halt activities and focus on recovery away from the members.

Except for Lee Kang Sung, none of the members are exhibiting any special symptoms at the moment. They visited the hospital for rapid antigen tests, and all of them tested negative.

We will do our best to support Lee Kang Sung’s speedy recovery, and we will put the health and safety of our artist first as we faithfully cooperate with the guidelines of the disease control authorities.
