Watch: Go Doo Shim And The Villagers Of "Our Blues" Show Affection For Her Granddaughter In New Heartwarming Teaser
tvN’s upcoming drama “Our Blues” released a new teaser!
“Our Blues” is a new omnibus-style drama set in Jeju Island that tells the sweet, sour, and bitter life stories of a diverse array of characters. The star-studded cast lineup includes Lee Byung Hun, Shin Min Ah, Han Ji Min, Kim Woo Bin, Cha Seung Won, Lee Jung Eun, Kim Hye Ja, Go Doo Shim, Uhm Jung Hwa, and more.
One of the stories in “Our Blues” focuses on that of Hyun Choon Hee (Go Doo Shim) and her granddaughter Son Eun Ki (Ki So You). The new teaser begins with Hyun Choon Hee suddenly having to take care of her granddaughter. Her daughter-in-law tells her, “I’ll take her back exactly after two weeks,” signaling the start of Hyun Choon Hee’s awkward new life with Son Eun Ki.
Although Hyun Choon Hee does her best to take care of her granddaughter by playing with her and making her hearty food, Son Eun Ki seems dissatisfied. In addition to being a picky eater, Son Eun Ki throws a temper tantrum, lying on the ground while yelling, “I don’t like Grandma!”
While Hyun Choon Hee is busy working as a haenyeo (female diver), the people of Jeju Island look after Son Eun Ki. She plays with Lee Dong Suk (Lee Byung Hun), Park Jung Joon (Kim Woo Bin), Jung In Kwon (Park Ji Hwan), and Bang Ho Shik (Choi Young Joon), going to see dolphins together while also gradually adjusting to her new life on Jeju Island.
However, Hyun Choon Hee begins to grow suspicious of her daughter-in-law, whom she is unable to contact. A friend of Son Eun Ki even asks her, “Your mom left you like mine did, didn’t she?” Son Eun Ki cries while pounding at her chest as Kang Ok Dong (Kim Hye Ja) fondly asks, “Where did you learn to pound your heart like that while crying?”
Despite their age gap, Go Doo Shim and Ki So You had great chemistry on set as if they are actual grandmother and granddaughter. Ki So You also captivated the hearts of all the actors on set with her adorable acting.
“Our Blues” will premiere on April 9 at 9:10 p.m. KST. Watch a teaser for the drama below!
