EXO's Sehun Confirmed To Lead New High School Romance Drama
EXO’s Sehun will be playing a leading role in an upcoming TVING original drama!
On March 24, Sports Chosun reported that EXO’s Sehun has been cast for the leading role of TVING’s original drama “Love, Hara High School” (literal title).
In response to the report, a source from SM Entertainment confirmed, “It is true that Sehun will be starring as the main character Go Yoo in TVING’s new original drama ‘Love, Hara High School.'”
“Love, Hara High School” depicts the solid friendship and sincere love story of 18-year-old youths who cannot give up love or friendship. The drama deals with the unique subject of cellular memory, which hypothesizes that memory is transferred to organ transplant recipients.
Sehun will be taking on the leading role of Go Yoo, an 18-year-old student in his second year of Hara High School. Go Yoo grows taller everyday, and he is often praised as a genius at basketball, which he originally started in order to grow taller. He’s also a charming student who manages to at least do averagely in school despite not studying. Go Yoo is too busy to date, and he’s preoccupied with protecting Joon Hee, but after he donates his kidney to Joon Hee, he becomes rivals in love with Joon Hee for the school’s No. 1 student and his first love So Yeon due to cellular memory syndrome.
Previously, Sehun starred in “EXO Next Door” in 2015 and “Dokgo Rewind” in 2018. He also made his big screen debut through “The Pirates: Goblin Flag.” Recently, Sehun starred in SBS’s “Now We Are Breaking Up,” raising anticipation for his next acting transformation.
“Love, Hara High School” is penned by scriptwriter Kang Bo Ra and helmed by director Kim Jin Sung who previously worked on “The Great Queen Seondeok” and “Kangchi, the Beginning.”
“Love, Hara High School” will begin filming in April and premiere sometime this year via TVING. Stay tuned for more updates on the drama!
