Kim Sejeong Confirmed To Star In Korean Remake Of Japanese Drama "Sleepeeer Hit!"
Kim Sejeong is already gearing up for her next project!
On March 25, it was confirmed that Kim Sejeong will be starring as the leading role in SBS’s upcoming drama “Today’s Webtoon” (literal title).
“Today’s Webtoon” is a Korean remake of the popular 2016 Japanese drama “Sleepeeer Hit!” The drama will tell the story of a former judo athlete who joins the webtoon editorial department as a new employee and struggles in order to mature into a true webtoon editor. The drama will also depict the competitive nature of the field in South Korea. Earlier this year, it was reported that Nam Yoon Su is in talks for the drama.
Kim Sejeong is confirmed to play rookie contract employee On Ma Eum who enters the webtoon editorial department after beating all odds. On Ma Eum had to quit her athletic career when an unfortunate accident during a match tore her ankle ligament, but she begins to dream anew when she coincidentally delivers food to the webtoon editorial department. She is an employee who lives with a positive attitude despite having to overcome many adversities. Kim Sejeong will realistically portray the fighting spirit of a rookie employee who is taking the first steps in her career.
Currently, Kim Sejeong is captivating audiences through her hit SBS drama “A Business Proposal” as the role of Shin Ha Ri. The drama recently recorded a new personal best in ratings, breaking into the double digits for the second time.
“Today’s Webtoon” is slated to air in the second half of this year. Stay tuned for more updates!
