KBS Responds To Reports That 'Dear.M' Will Be Released In Japan First

Dear.M” will be released in different countries!

On March 24, an industry representative stated that the drama “Dear.M,” which has been on hold since the previous year, will be released in Japan in the second half of this year. That means there is a possibility that it will not air in Korea first.

In response to the reports, a source from KBS shared that they have signed a contract for broadcasting rights with different countries, including Japan. They added that the specific broadcasting schedule in Japan has been undecided.

“Dear.M” is a series that follows the aftermath of an anonymous post made on Seoyeon University’s online community about a mysterious figure named “M.” The cast includes Park Hye SooNCT‘s JaehyunNoh Jung UiBae Hyun SungUP10TION‘s Lee Jin HyukWoo DaviLee Jung Sic, Hwang Bo Reum Byeol, CLC‘s Eunbin, and Jo Joon Young.

Previously, “Dear.M” was slated to premiere on February 26, 2021. However, the premiere was postponed, with the network stating, “In order to thoroughly examine the recent issue surrounding one of the ‘Dear.M’ cast members and to ensure a high-quality release, we have decided to delay the premiere.” The delay came after star Park Hye Soo was accused of being a perpetrator of school violence, which both the actress and her agency have denied.
