SEVENTEEN Confirms Pre-Release Single In April + World Tour Plans At Fan Meeting
On March 27, SEVENTEEN held their sixth fan meeting “SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND,” their first in-person fan meeting in three years. It was held over three days on March 25 to 27, with the last day also being streamed online for fans around the world.
After electrifying performances and fun and heartfelt communication with fans, including a segment where the members danced to songs that “didn’t fit their vibe,” such as covers of Chungha’s “Roller Coaster,” BLACKPINK’s Lisa’s “LALISA,” Jeon Somi’s “Dumb Dumb,” and more.
At the end, leader S.Coups said, “It’s been a long time since we’ve seen you. There were a lot of things that happened and I remember worrying a lot about this. If we had an offline concert or fan meeting again, would there be enough Carats, enough audience members to fill seats? But over these past three days, all those worries have vanished. I’m sure you must have been tired not being able to see us, but thank you for staying by our side and coming to see us in the cold.”
He continued, “We get our entire schedule for the year at once. If Carat isn’t standing in front of us, it feels like a wall. We wonder, ‘Can we really do this much work in a year?’ But when we see Carats, we feel like we can do everything and more.”
Seungkwan said, “We’ve waited a lot, but we’ve also heard that Carats waited a lot. I heard that there were people who dressed nicely and got their hair and makeup done, and there were those that struggled a lot to get here, and people who came from far away. Each of you came with excitement in your heart for this day, so I’m full of gratitude. I know that you worry about us, so we’re going to work hard.”
Hoshi said, “Feeling this happiness now, I can’t help but hate the time that we spent apart. Thank you for making us happy. I hope we can meet often in the future and communicate through music.”
Hoshi also added, “In April, we’re going to release a pre-release single from our fourth studio album. Look forward to our fourth studio album in May too.” The group also announced surprise plans for a world tour later this year.
Earlier this month, PLEDIS Entertainment confirmed that SEVENTEEN was planning to release a full album in May. It was later reported that a full group English single would be a b-side track on the album. This is reportedly the pre-release single that will be out in April.
