(G)I-DLE Talks About The Success Of "TOMBOY" And Hopes For The Group's Future
(G)I-DLE looks stunning for Dazed magazine!
Recently, the group returned with their first full-length studio album “I NEVER DIE” along with the title track “TOMBOY.” Their new pictorial captures the members’ individual charms while highlighting a more comfortable and casual atmosphere.
In the interview for their pictorial, Miyeon talked about the group’s win on “M Countdown,” which she is an MC for. Miyeon remarked, “The fact that we were together on [the stage] was really weird. The moment first place was announced, they closed in on my face, and I felt really emotional.”
Yuqi shared, “I realized how difficult it is to promote alone while promoting alone in China during [(G)I-DLE’s] break. We need to stay together to survive. I think this phrase suits (G)I-DLE the best.”
Regarding the group’s successful comeback, Jeon Soyeon shared, “I think we experienced a syndrome this time. I hope that we won’t stop in the future either. I want to keep moving forward.”
Minnie, who made a guest appearance on “Queendom 2,” shared, “[‘Queendom’] really feels like it happened yesterday, and the memories from that time are still vivid. I thought, “Wow, how did we do it then?” The feelings of nervousness before performing started to bubble up.”
Shuhua commented, “All our members are really valuable, and they’re people with extraordinary talent. That’s why I hope only good things happen [to us].”
The full interview and pictorial will be available in the special edition of Dazed magazine.
