Rocket Punch Halts Activities After Suyun And Yunkyoung Test Positive For COVID-19

Rocket Punch has temporarily halted all activities due to Suyun and Yunkyoung testing positive for COVID-19.

On April 8, Woollim Entertainment officially announced that Suyun and Yunkyoung had been diagnosed with COVID-19 after developing mild cold symptoms.

While the other members of Rocket Punch have tested negative for the virus using self-test kits, the group has postponed all scheduled promotions, including their upcoming fan signing event, for the time being.

Woollim Entertainment’s full statement is as follows:

Hello, this is Woollim Entertainment.

We are informing you that our artist Rocket Punch’s Suyun and Yunkyoung tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, April 8.

On April 7, Suyun and Yunkyoung experienced cold symptoms and used self-test kits for COVID-19, and after they both tested positive, they underwent PCR testing. Today (April 8), their PCR test results came back positive for COVID-19.

Suyun and Yunkyoung have each received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and they do not currently have any other symptoms aside from mild cold symptoms. In accordance with the guidelines of health authorities, they will be going into self-quarantine to focus entirely on their treatment and recovery.

The other Rocket Punch members aside from Suyun and Yunkyoung used self-test kits as a precautionary measure, and they all tested negative and do not currently have any particular symptoms.

Due to the current situation, it is difficult for Rocket Punch to participate in the previously scheduled “YELLOW PUNCH” album signing event, and we will make another announcement in the future about Rocket Punch’s return to activities.
