BTS Earns 7 Nominations For 2022 Billboard Music Awards, Setting A New Personal Best

The 2022 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) has announced the full list of this year’s nominations!

On April 8 local time, the BBMAs shared its nominee list for the upcoming award ceremony, and BTS earned an impressive seven nominations!

In 2021, BTS set a personal record for the most nominations they’ve ever received for a Billboard Music Awards show with four – with the group eventually winning all four awards.

This year, BTS has set a new personal best with their seven nominations, which is also the most of any group or duo. For the fourth consecutive year, BTS is nominated for the Top Duo/Group award, which they won in 2019 and 2021.

BTS is also once again in the running for Top Song Sales Artist and Top Selling Song (for both “Butter” and “Permission to Dance“), two other awards the group snagged in 2021.

They’ve also been given nods in new categories Top Billboard Global Artist (Excluding U.S.) and Top Billboard Global Song (Excluding U.S.) (with “Butter”). Their seventh nomination is for the Top Rock Song award with “My Universe,” BTS’s collaboration with Coldplay.

The 2022 BBMAs will broadcast live from Las Vegas on Sunday, May 15 at 8 p.m. ET. Check out the full list of nominees here!
