Highlight's Lee Gikwang Diagnosed With COVID-19

Highlight’s Lee Gikwang has tested positive for COVID-19.

On April 12, Highlight’s agency Around Us Entertainment announced that Lee Gikwang’s self-testing kit came out positive so he would cancel his scheduled activities and undergo a rapid antigen test.

Later on the same day, Around Us Entertainment shared that Lee Gikwang was officially diagnosed with COVID-19.

The agency’s full statement is as follows:

Hello, this is Around Us Entertainment.

Our artist Lee Gikwang tested positive for COVID-19 through a rapid antigen test that he took today (April 12).

Lee Gikwang previously received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and currently has no symptoms other than a mild sore throat. He will suspend all activities and focus on treatment in self-isolation in accordance with the guidelines of government health authorities.

In addition, our artists Yoon Doojoon, Yang Yoseob, and Son Dongwoon tested negative through their self-testing kits and are not showing any particular symptoms.

We will put priority on our artist’s health and do our best for his treatment and recovery so that he can meet his fans in good health. We will also strive for everyone’s safety by thoroughly complying with the guidelines of the health authorities.
