Lee Joon, Kang Han Na, And Jang Hyuk Are Determined To Carry Out Their Own Goals In Character Posters For "Bloody Heart"
KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “Bloody Heart” has released new character posters of its three leads!
“Bloody Heart” is a fictional historical drama about the bloody political romance between Lee Tae (Lee Joon), a king who has to abandon the woman he loves to survive, and Yoo Jung (Kang Han Na), a woman who has to become the queen to survive.
The newly released posters give a peek at each of the characters’ goals and personalities, and the three of them exude different kinds of charisma.
Lee Tae dreams of an absolute monarchy for his own survival. He believes that any means taken for this goal is justifiable and if necessary, he will not hesitate to take an illegal or dishonest route. However, he is forced to choose between the monarchy and love once he falls into a heated political battle against Yoo Jung, his former lover from his younger days.
In his poster, Lee Tae shows a fragile appearance, but his eyes are filled with different emotions such as sadness and ferocity. The text on the poster reads, “I will live in my hell, so live with a smile in your world,” depicting his desire that Yoo Jung will not get entangled in the raging political battles inside the palace walls.
The free-spirited Yoo Jung has a mindset that is a bit ahead of her time. She is a bold woman who has everything, from excellent resourcefulness to innate intelligence. When she meets Lee Tae, she experiences more catastrophe in her already eventful life and gets caught up in palace affairs.
In the poster, Yoo Jung exudes unique elegance with her humble yet graceful figure. There is no smile on her face, and she looks rather serious, but her eyes glint with determination. The words on her poster reads, “Your Highness, protect yourself. I’ll protect myself.” With her independent charms, she will do whatever it takes to survive in the brutal palace, and fans are excited to find out how she will overcome the turbulent moments in her life.
In his poster, Jang Hyuk transformed into Park Gye Won, the first vice-premier and the real head of power in Joseon. He is a fierce but loyal member of the government who doesn’t want another tyrant to take over the country.
Park Gye Won gives off a powerful aura, and his solemn gaze overwhelms the viewers. The text on his poster claims, “Everything God does is for this country Joseon,” conveying his belief that Joseon always comes first. Moreover, his poker face and beast-like eyes make it difficult for people to guess if he’s good or evil. It will be interesting to see what he does as his role of the “kingmaker.”
“Bloody Heart” premieres on May 2 at 9:30 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser here!
