Starship Entertainment Names Former SM C&C CEO And KBS PD Lee Hoon Hee As New CEO

Starship Entertainment has a new CEO!

The agency recently announced that they had named former KBS producing director (PD) Lee Hoon Hee as the new Starship Entertainment CEO. He will join current CEO Lee Jin Sung in leading Starship’s affairs.

In addition to being a former KBS PD, Lee Hoon Hee is an expert of Korea’s entertainment industry with over 30 years of experience in music and media content as the former CEO of SM C&C and Koen Media’s production department, and former head of production at KBS.

He planned and produced the hit KBS2 segment “Metal Tray Karaoke” from “Happy Together,” and also produced programs such as “Music Bank,” “2 Days and 1 Night,” and Rise Again, Korea: Na Hoon Ah.”

Lee Hoon Hee commented, “I will work to expand the global impact of Starship Entertainment’s singers, actors, and artists who have strong fan bases, using the strengths and growth potential of music and video content businesses as a foundation.”

Starship Entertainment currently manages groups MONSTA X, WJSN, CRAVITY, and IVE, as well as actors Im Soo Jung, Jun So Min, Lee Dong Wook, Lee Kwang Soo, Yoo Yeon Seok, and many more.
