Nam Joo Hyuk may be starring in a new drama soon!
On April 20, Sports Chosun reported that Nam Joo Hyuk had chosen the upcoming drama “Vigilante” (literal title) as his next project.
In response to the report, a source from Nam Joo Hyuk’s agency Management SOOP stated, “Nam Joo Hyuk is positively reviewing the offer to star in ‘Vigilante.'”
“Vigilante” is based on a Naver webtoon of the same name written by Kim Kyu Sam. The drama follows the story of Ji Yong, a police university student who hunts down criminals that roam around society every weekend, reporter Choi Mi Ryeo who has caught on to his actions, and investigator Jo Heon of the Metropolitan Investigation Unit who is tracking down the existence of the vigilante that is receiving the spotlight from the media and political and business circles.
If he accepts the offer, Nam Joo Hyuk will be playing the role of police university student and vigilante Ji Yong. He enters the police university in order to find his parents’ enemy, and every weekend, he sets out to lay judgement on criminals, criticizing the lenient law enforcement in the process.
Recently, Nam Joo Hyuk captivated audiences with his role in tvN’s “Twenty Five, Twenty One.” The actor continued to reign over Good Data Corporation’s list of most buzzworthy cast members for seven consecutive weeks during the drama’s run.
