Kim Min Kyu Shares His Thoughts About "A Business Proposal," His Acting Career, And More
“A Business Proposal” actor Kim Min Kyu recently participated in a pictorial and interview for fashion magazine Elle!
In the interview, Kim Min Kyu talked about “A Business Proposal,” which recently came to an end. Based on a popular web novel that has been adapted into a webtoon, the romantic comedy is about an office employee who goes on a blind date with her company’s CEO in place of a friend while hiding her identity. Kim Min Kyu starred as the CEO’s secretary Cha Sung Hoon.
Kim Min Kyu talked about his role, saying, “I wanted to make people wonder how someone who is upright and righteous will change when they fall in love. Cha Sung Hoon from the drama is such an amazing guy that it’s doubtful whether someone like him actually exists. As a big fan of the webtoon, I also know how important it was to satisfy the needs of the fans. I tried to fill the gap between the webtoon and the drama.”
Kim Min Kyu has been an actor for almost ten years now, and he has been steadily building up his filmography with various projects, such as “Signal,” “Because This Is My First Life,” and “Queen: Love and War.” Concerning his acting career, he commented, “I’m satisfied with the sense of speed rather than the direction. I’m definitely growing little by little. There is no meaningless time, and with the pile up of regrets and sadness, there was Cha Sung Hoon of ‘A Business Proposal’ and the projects I’ve worked on so far.”
When asked how he is going to spend this summer, he remarked, “As an actor, it’s fun to take on the challenge of portraying new roles, express myself, and get evaluated for the results I fiercely made. The time of fierceness is long, and the time of elegance is short. Now that I’ve enjoyed a moment of elegance with [‘A Business Proposal’], I think it’s time for me to be hot and fierce.”
Kim Min Kyu’s full interview and pictorial will be released in the May issue of Elle.
