SEVENTEEN Sets New Personal Record After "Face The Sun" Surpasses 1.7 Million Stock Pre-Orders In 1 Week
SEVENTEEN has reached a new milestone ahead of releasing their upcoming album “Face the Sun”!
As of May 3, according to album distributor YG PLUS, SEVENTEEN’s upcoming fourth full album “Face the Sun” has surpassed 1,740,000 stock pre-orders in just a week, potentially signalling a new career-high for the group.
The number of stock pre-orders is the amount of album stock that is produced prior to an album’s release. The figure is the estimated demand calculated using various factors, including how many albums were pre-ordered by fans.
The 1.7 million stock pre-order amount is a big jump from the 1.4 million recorded by SEVENTEEN’s last mini album “Attacca,” and is also the group’s personal best. “Attacca” went on to become SEVENTEEN’s fifth consecutive million-seller album and their second of 2021, in addition to their eighth mini album “Your Choice.”
As SEVENTEEN continues to set new records with every one of their albums, anticipation is rising to see whether these 1.7 million stock pre-orders can translate into surpassing 2 million albums sold in its first week of release.
On April 15, SEVENTEEN released their first English-language single “Darl+ing” as a pre-release track for their fourth full-length album “Face the Sun,” which will drop on May 27 at 1 p.m. KST. Check out their teasers here!
Later this month, SEVENTEEN will also hold their “HANABI” fan meeting in Japan at the Saitama Super Arena.
Congratulations to SEVENTEEN!
