Kwon Sang Woo, Im Se Mi, And Sung Dong Il Confirmed For New Heartwarming Comedy Drama

Kwon Sang Woo, Im Se Mi, and Sung Dong Il are confirmed to star in a new drama titled “X of Crisis” (literal title)!

wavve’s upcoming original drama “X of Crisis” is a cataclysmic comedy about the unfortunate life of “Mr. a” who faces a combination of stock crashes, housing price surges, and the danger of resignation all at once while holding out for life to improve. Although he took pride in succeeding in life, he takes a direct hit from the passage of time and heads downhill in life. However, the story of Mr. a taking on the challenge of starting the next chapter in his life will make viewers laugh as they relate to the refreshing story.

“X of Crisis” is based on a book titled “It Hurts Because I’m a Middle-Aged Man” (literal title). The drama will be helmed by director Kim Jung Hoon of “The Pirates: Goblin Flag,” “The Accidental Detective,” and “Petty Romance” and written by writer Kwak Kyung Yoon of “Love Revolution” and “Big Forest.”

Kwon Sang Woo will be playing the role of the ordinary middle-aged man Mr. a who thought his life was going places only to find out that it’s already in the stages of declining. Mr. a graduated from a prestigious university and entered a large company, but he goes from riches to rags after experiencing the ups and downs of the passage of time. As a pretentious but affectionate man, Mr. a is a character who viewers won’t be able to hate, and Kwon Sang Woo will dynamically portray the story of his character maturing as he gets ready to re-boot his life.

Im Se Mi, who starred in “True Beauty” and “I’ll Go to You When the Weather is Nice,” will be playing Mr. a’s soulmate Ah Nae who dreams of becoming a popular web novelist. With a generous heart, she supports Mr. a with her positive energy. She has a fiery personality, being endlessly affectionate towards her husband one moment while suddenly raging with anger the next. Viewers are looking forward to Im Se Mi’s synergy with Kwon Sang Woo as they play a loving couple.

Sung Dong Il will be starring as Heo Joon, the neighborhood doctor. He always bickers with his patients with his nonchalant and tired attitude, but he is more caring than anyone else. Although he makes Mr. a flustered with his painfully honest words, he doesn’t hold back in giving advice that resonates with the heart. Sung Dong Il will be showcasing comical synergy with Kwon Sang Woo again after starring in “The Accidental Detective” series together.
