“Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” is about a weightlifting college student named Kim Bok Joo, played by the lovely Lee Sung Kyung. She ends up falling in love with a swimmer named Jung Joon Hyung (Nam Joo Hyuk), whom she had met when they were kids. The two form a romance and become a campus couple. They end up going through a lot of obstacles and stress that college students go through, but they find comfort in leaning on one another.
This is one of Lee Sung Kyung’s most successful roles to date. It continues to be a well loved K-drama by new watchers and is undoubtedly one of the best romantic comedies of all time! “About Time” is a series that will have you on the edge of your seat through and through! Starring Lee Sung Kyung as Choi Michaela and Lee Sang Yoon as Lee Do Ha, the drama involves the story of Michaela who is able to see how much time a person has left to live their life. It’s a concept that might seem cool, but it ends up being heartbreaking. She falls in love with the rich and stubborn Lee Do Ha who she knows she must stay away from. Cue two lovers who are desperate to be together but are in a race against time.
“About Time” is a fantasy love story that involves a very unique plot. Viewers are left sympathizing with the two main leads as they are in a race with time that could jeopardize their love for each other. One of the best parts about this series is seeing Lee Sung Kyung and Lee Sang Yoon in a romantic relationship on the small screen. Their chemistry is intensely gratifying!

“Dr. Romantic 2” revolves around the fast-paced and emotional setting of a hospital where Doctor Kim (Han Suk Kyu), a guru surgeon, is the head. He scouts doctors and surgeons for his special hospital, which is how he comes across Seo Woo Jin (Ahn Hyo Seop). They are joined by Lee Sung Kyung’s character Cha Eun Jae who also gets placed at Doctor Kim’s hospital.
With the success of the drama’s first season, it was exciting to hear the confirmation of Lee Sung Kyung’s casting for the second season. Fans knew that she would do a great job as she has done so in her previous works. Although it wasn’t the first time seeing her sport a doctor’s uniform, it still felt like a very challenging role for her that she definitely lived up to!

Kim Young Dae
In “Sh**ting Stars,” Kim Young Dae plays Gong Tae Sung, one of the top stars at the agency. This is Kim Young Dae’s first K-drama lead role, and he’s already proving that he has what it takes to be a leading man. We can look forward to seeing him in more projects in the future. Here are some of his other roles that have brought him to where he is today.
Eun Dan Oh (Kim Hye Yoon) thinks she’s a normal high school girl with a large group of friends. Everything seems to be going smoothly for her until she realizes that she’s living in a comic book and is nothing but a minor character. What makes this situation worse is that she ends up falling in love with Ha Roo (Rowoon) who is an extra in the comic book. Because he’s an extra, he’s barely in the comic book, which makes it difficult for Dan Oh to ever see him. The two agonize over how they should be with each other despite the odds being against them.
This was probably the first role where people noticed Kim Young Dae’s exceptionally good looks and potential to be a star actor. He played Oh Nam Joo, the main character of the webcomic that the characters are a part of. His convincing and charismatic character won over the hearts of many, and people could not wait to see him grow as an actor.

“I’ll Go to You When the Weather is Nice”
After Mok Hae Won (Park Min Young) decides to leave Seoul and temporarily move to the countryside with her aunt, she meets her old high school friend Im Eun Seob (Seo Kang Joon). Eun Seob has been in love with Hae Won since he first met her and is happy to hear that she won’t be leaving for a while. The two become friends again, and as they get to know each other more, they start to fall in love.
If you want to see Kim Young Dae in a role that will give you butterflies, this one is it. He plays Oh Young Woo, the popular and tough guy in school who ends up falling in love with Hae Won. Despite her being a loner, Young Woo makes it known to the school that he likes her, making her one of the popular girls. The way in which Kim Young Dae portrays a character who wears his heart on his sleeve, being emotional, is a Kim Young Dae worth watching.

Jo Yeo Jeong plays Kang Yeo Joo, a best-selling author who writes books on crime. She is constantly researching ideas and stories for her books and often uses her husband to help her come up with ideas. When she discovers that her husband Woo Sung (Go Joon) may or may not be cheating on her, she uses some ideas from her novels to get revenge.
Kim Young Dae plays Cha Soo Ho, a new assistant who works for Yeo Joo. He ends up being intrigued and falls in love with her quirky and cold personality. Seeing Kim Young Dae in a more mature role in comparison to his previous roles was enlightening. He rose to the challenge and was able to show a side of himself that his fans had not seen before. It is one of the best parts about Kim Young Dae as he’s always challenging himself as an actor by taking on eclectic roles.

Lee Jung Shin
In “Sh**ting Stars,” Lee Jung Shin plays Do Soo Hyuk, a lawyer for the entertainment company that Oh Han Byul and Gong Tae Sung are a part of. He is the charming second lead and one who wants to win Oh Han Byul’s heart. He’s confident, sweet, and loves Han Byul for who she is. Lee Jung Shin has come a long way in his acting career, and he is definitely shining in this series! Here are some other K-dramas of his to check out.
“Cinderella and Four Knights” is like a fairy tale K-drama involving a girl named Eun Ha Won (Park So Dam) who gets a job working at a mansion filled with rich, good-looking men. She ends up in a relationship with Ji Woon (Jung Il Woo) despite signing a contract to not fall in love with any of the boys.
People were thoroughly impressed by Lee Jung Shin’s ability to play such a charismatic and charming character in this particular series. By this point in his career, Lee Jung Shin had already made his mark, and fans were anticipating some great things from him. He was able to show fans and viewers that he is to be taken seriously as an actor! His portrayal as Kang Seo Woo in the romantic comedy was just what people needed.

“My Sassy Girl” is the K-drama spin-off from the hit romantic movie of the same name. Set in the Joseon Dynasty, Gyun Woo (Joo Won) is a cold-hearted scholar who falls in love with Princess Hye Myung (Oh Yeon Seo). She is very sassy and demands a lot out of Gyun Woo, but she is eventually able to open up her heart to him.
Lee Jung Shin’s portrayal of Kang Joon Young is so endearingly sweet. Playing an inspector, he is the second lead that many people couldn’t help but fall for. Because his character is quite the opposite of Joo Won, it’s very easy to be attracted to him! His character is so warmhearted and loving, always trying to protect Hye Myung.

Yoon Jong Hoon
In “Sh**ting Stars,” Yoon Jong Hoon plays Kang Yoo Sung, a manager and employee at the company. He has a history with Han Byul and Tae Sung since he is friends with both of them and is often the mediator. Yoon Jong Hoon has a long history of K-dramas that he has been a part of, and the successes of those dramas are endless! Here are a couple that are definitely worth checking out.
“Return”
“Return” stars Go Hyun Jung as Choi Ja Hye, a powerful lawyer who takes on a case involving South Korea’s famous and wealthy elites. Dokgo Young is played by Lee Jin Wook, and he is a detective who works with Ja Hye to crack the case. They come to realize together that the case involves a lot of corrupt and powerful individuals who would rather not have their secrets exposed for all to see.
Yoon Jong Hoon had such an impressive role in this particular series that he won the Excellence Award at the 2020 SBS Drama Awards. His ability to portray Seo Joon Hee as a doctor so flawlessly impressed many, and it also led to a lot more starring roles, including his most recent success with “The Penthouse” series!

“The Penthouse”
Lee Ji Ah, Kim So Yeon, and Eugene star as three wealthy woman who live in a luxurious complex that is catered to the higher-ups in the city. Their children all attend an elite arts school where Kim So Yeon’s father is the chairman. They are willing to do anything to keep the image of their families and children intact no matter what the cost – even if it means killing someone. The families living in this high society start to get involved in matters that are far above their heads and are forced to lie to each other to save themselves.
This particular series could technically be for both Yoon Jong Hoon and Kim Young Dae as they both were cast in the series. The two did a remarkable job portraying their respective characters, but Yoon Jong Hoon in particular put us viewers on a rollercoaster of emotions. His relationship with Kim So Yeon’s character is tumultuous and crazy to say the least. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat, guessing until the very end!
