ASTRO’s MJ has enlisted in the military!

As previously announced at the group’s sixth debut anniversary fan meeting, the oldest member enlisted today on May 9.

Prior to enlisting, MJ shared a series of photos he took on his way and showed off his new haircut, wishing fans a warm farewell. He wrote, “A beautiful blue sky on May 9. May it always be filled with light. Written by MLight.” MJ also added the hashtag, “Myungjoon (MJ’s real name) is always by AROHA’s side.” AROHA is ASTRO’s official fan club.

On the group’s official account, fellow member Rocky shared a video of him saying goodbye with the caption, “Hyung, come back safely.. I’ll be waiting..” JinJin shared photos of the three of them together along with the message, “AROHA! We sent M hyung off well and have returned to Seoul. Haha. I feel uneasy, but on the other hand, I feel at ease because I was with him together until the end!! Please send lots of support for M hyung so that he can come back safely^^”

ASTRO’s staff also posted a set of photos, writing, “Our oldest member MJ who enlisted with a brave attitude. Promising of the day we reunite and bask in purple light, we ask that you send much support to MJ who will return healthily!”
