"Woori The Virgin" Premieres To Promising Start + "Bloody Heart" Remains Steady

SBS’s “Woori the Virgin” has kicked-off strong!

According to Nielsen Korea, the May 9 premiere of the new Monday-Tuesday drama “Woori the Virgin” recorded an average nationwide rating of 4.1 percent.

A remake of the hit American show “Jane the Virgin” (which was itself based on a Venezuelan telenovela), “Woori the Virgin” tells the story of a woman named Oh Woo Ri (Im Soo Hyang) who has been strictly maintaining her chastity before marriage but winds up pregnant with Raphael’s (Sung Hoon‘s) biological child after an accidental artificial insemination during a medical exam. The drama also stars Shin Dong Wook, Hong Ji Yoon, Hong Eun Hee, Kim Soo Ro, Yeon Woon Kyung, and more.

KBS2’s “Bloody Heart” achieved an average nationwide rating of 5.3 percent, which is a small dip in ratings from the previous episode’s score of 6.0 percent.
