TXT Becomes Artist With 4th Highest 1st-Week Sales In Hanteo History With 'minisode 2: Thursday's Child'

TXT is now the artist with the fourth-highest first-week sales in all of Hanteo history!

Last week, TXT made their highly-anticipated comeback on May 9 with their latest mini album “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” and its title track “Good Boy Gone Bad.”

On May 10, the day after its release, Hanteo Chart announced that “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” had already soared past 1 million sales in less than 2 days, making TXT the second-fastest artist in Hanteo history to have an album hit the 1 million mark (bested only by BTS).

In terms of years since their debut, TXT is also the fastest artist in Hanteo history to sell over 1 million copies of an album in the first week of its release following their debut. (As the group first debuted in March 2019, it took them just three years and two months to achieve the feat.)

Hanteo Chart has now reported that in the first week of its release (May 9 to 15), “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” sold an impressive total of 1,248,370 copies—nearly doubling TXT’s previous first-week sales record of 630,563 set by their 2021 album “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE.”

With this latest achievement, TXT has become the artist with the fourth-highest first-week sales in Hanteo history—bested only by BTS, NCT DREAM, and SEVENTEEN. According to Hanteo Chart calculations, no other K-pop group has surpassed 1 million sales within their first week to date.

“minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” has also achieved the eighth-highest first-week sales of any album in Hanteo history, following BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7,” “BE,” “Map of the Soul: Persona,” and “Butter,” NCT DREAM’s “Glitch Mode,” and SEVENTEEN’s “Your Choice” and “Attacca.”

Congratulations to TXT on their amazing achievement!
