BTS's "Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~" Becomes Their 1st Japanese Album To Be Certified Silver In UK
BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~” has been certified silver in the United Kingdom!
On May 20 local time, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) announced that BTS’s 2020 Japanese album “Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~” had received an official silver BRIT certification, making it their 10th album to achieve the feat.
Notably, “Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~” is also BTS’s very first Japanese album to go silver in the United Kingdom.
According to the BPI’s certification thresholds, albums are certified silver at 60,000 units sold, while singles are certified silver at 200,000 units sold.
BTS has previously earned BRIT silver certifications for their Korean albums “Love Yourself: Answer,” “Map of the Soul: Persona,” “Love Yourself: Tear,” “Map of the Soul: 7,” “Love Yourself: Her,” “Face Yourself,” “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever,” “You Never Walk Alone,” and “WINGS.”
