On the previous episode of “My Liberation Notes,” Mr. Gu (Son Suk Ku) and Yeom Mi Jung (Kim Ji Won) went their separate ways when Mr. Gu left Sanpo to return to Seoul, leaving Yeom Mi Jung devastated and heartbroken. However, in contrast to how she was before, when she wished that everyone who left her would be miserable, Yeom Mi Jung realized that she had changed: even after she lost touch with him, she still found herself wishing for Mr. Gu’s happiness.
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, the once-blissful couple struggles to go about their lives without one another. Yeom Mi Jung has a sad but strangely hopeful look in her eyes as she turns around to glance behind her, almost as if she’s waiting for someone. Meanwhile, without Yeom Mi Jung, the emptiness in Mr. Gu’s gaze has returned, and he is visibly miserable as he broods over a glass of whiskey.
Another intriguing set of photos shows Yeom Mi Jung and Mr. Gu in the same place but at different times, both looking somber and lonely as they watch the sunset from inside the subway.
To find out if the two will cross paths, tune in to the next episode of “My Liberation Notes” will air on May 21 at 10:30 p.m. KST!
