Na In Woo Shares Details About His New Role In "Jinxed At First," Reason For Joining Drama, And More
Na In Woo shared details about his upcoming KBS 2TV drama “Jinxed at First”!
Based on a webtoon of the same name, “Jinxed at First” is a fantasy romance drama about what happens when a poor, unlucky man, who has accepted his unfortunate fate, meets a goddess of fortune, who jumps out into the unknown to undo a curse despite having been hidden away by a chaebol family. Na In Woo will be playing Seodong Market’s fish seller Gong Soo Kwang who has a special jinx, and Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun will be playing Seul Bi who has the special ability of seeing the future of the person she touches.
Na In Woo’s character Gong Soo Kwang is a person who has good looks, a sense of justice, and a nice personality. His life was flowing smoothly, and he had a hopeful future ahead of him. However, one day, he loses everything that is precious to him and encounters a life that is 180 degrees different.
Na In Woo described his character, saying, “Although Gong Soo Kwang has bad luck, he has versatile charms where he is able to show various emotions whenever he changes through hardships. While playing this character, I could feel once again how great and special the will and sincerity a person can be.”
Concerning synchronization with his character, the actor commented, “The way Gong Soo Kwang is in the beginning [of the drama] is similar to how I am. In particular, we’re alike because we try to carry our own burdens and not show what a hard time we’re having no matter how tough it is, and we both don’t show our emotions very well.”
Recalling why he chose the drama for his next project, Na In Woo expressed his gratefulness to director Yoon Sang Ho, who is in charge of this series. The director offered him the role while saying that his bright nature is well-suited for the dramatized version of Gong Soo Kwang.
Na In Woo added, “The original webtoon was interesting, and I thought [the cast and I] would have a fun time filming because the characters would be more specifically expressed in the drama. The way each character acclimated to or confronted the shackles of fate stimulated my curiosity.”
“Jinxed at First” will premiere on June 15 at 9:50 p.m. KST. Watch a teaser here!
