SEVENTEEN Achieves Highest 1st-Week Sales Of 2022 With "Face The Sun"

SEVENTEEN is soaring to new heights with their latest album!

Last week, SEVENTEEN made their highly-anticipated comeback with their fourth studio album “Face the Sun” and its sizzling title track “HOT.”

Hanteo Chart has now reported that “Face the Sun” sold an impressive total of 2,067,769 copies in the first week of its release (May 27 to June 2)—marking the highest first-week sales of any album released in 2022 and smashing SEVENTEEN’s previous first-week record of 1,364,127 (set by their 2021 mini album “Your Choice“).

Not only has SEVENTEEN now become the second artist ever to sell over 2 million copies of an album in the first week of its release by Hanteo Chart calculations (following BTS), but they have also overtaken NCT DREAM to reclaim the title of the artist with the second-highest first-week sales in Hanteo history.

Additionally, “Face the Sun” has achieved the fourth-highest first-week sales of any album in Hanteo history, bested only by the BTS albums “Map of the Soul: 7,” “BE,” and “Map of the Soul: Persona.”
