TXT, SEVENTEEN, BTS, BLACKPINK, And Stray Kids Claim Top Spots On Billboard's World Albums Chart
Billboard has released its World Albums chart for the week ending on June 11!
TXT’s latest mini album “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” held onto its spot at No. 1 on the World Albums chart for the third consecutive week. The mini album also spent a third week on the Billboard 200, making TXT only the second male K-pop artist in history to chart an album in the top 26 for three consecutive weeks.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN’s new studio album “Face the Sun” debuted at No. 4 on this week’s World Albums chart. Three of the group’s new songs from the album also entered the World Digital Song Sales chart: their title track “HOT” debuted at No. 3, followed by B-sides “Don Quixote” at No. 14 and “Shadow” at No. 15.
Additionally, SEVENTEEN’s 2021 mini album “Attacca” re-entered the World Albums chart at No. 15 this week.
Landing a total of six albums in the top 15, BTS swept the next five spots on the chart. “Love Yourself: Her” came in at No. 5, “BE” at No. 6, “Love Yourself: Tear” at No. 7, “Map of the Soul: 7” at No. 8, and “Love Yourself: Answer” at No. 9, while “Map of the Soul: Persona” re-entered the chart at No. 11.
BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” held steady at No. 12 in its 87th consecutive week on the chart.
Finally, Stray Kids’ “ODDINARY” stayed strong at No. 14 in its 11th consecutive week on the chart.
