Upcoming Male Version Of Idol Competition Show 'My Teen Girl' Confirmed To Feature Global Contestants

The upcoming male version of idol competition show “My Teen Girl” has been confirmed to include contestants from around the world!

Earlier this month, “My Teen Girl” was confirmed to return with a male version early next year. Although no further details were announced at the time, “My Teen Girl” production company Funky Studio has now shared that the upcoming season will feature global contestants.

“Unike the first season, a large number of global members are expected to participate in ‘My Teen Girl’ Season 2, the male version,” the company revealed.

The upcoming male version is aiming to premiere in February 2023 and will search for a talented K-pop group. As it will be a global idol project, voting for this season will be available from around the world, such as in the United States, Europe, and Japan.

Season 1 of “My Teen Girl” was helmed by “Produce 101,” “Show Me the Money,” and “Unpretty Rapstar” PD Han Dong Chul, who will return for the next season. Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri(G)I-DLE‘s Jeon Soyeon, Fin.K.L’s Ock Joo Hyun, and Aiki of “Street Woman Fighter” featured as celebrity mentors, and the show created new girl group CLASS:y who debuted with “SHUT DOWN” in May.
