BTS Hits No. 1 On 9 Different Billboard Charts As "Yet To Come" And "Run BTS" Debut On Hot 100
BTS has dominated this week’s Billboard charts with their new anthology album “Proof”!
After “Proof” made a historic debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (Billboard’s weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States), Billboard has now revealed more of BTS’s achievements on this week’s charts.
BTS topped no less than nine different Billboard charts this week, with “Proof” entering five separate charts at No. 1. The anthology album, which achieved the biggest U.S. sales week of any album by a group this year despite consisting mainly of previously released songs, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the Top Album Sales chart, the Top Current Album Sales chart, the World Albums chart, and the Tastemaker Albums chart.
Including “Proof,” BTS has now topped Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart with six different albums—meaning that the only groups in history to have achieved more No. 1s on the chart are The Beatles, Metallica, and Dave Matthews Band (with seven albums each).
Meanwhile, BTS’s new title track “Yet to Come” was the top-selling song in the United States this week, sweeping the No. 1 spot on three different charts: the Digital Song Sales chart, the World Digital Song Sales chart (where it swept all 15 spots on the chart), and the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
“Yet to Come” also debuted at No. 13 on Billboard’s Hot 100 (its weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States) while BTS’s new B-side “Run BTS” entered the chart at No. 73—an impressive feat for two non-English language tracks.
Finally, BTS climbed back up to No. 1 on this week’s Artist 100, marking their 21st non-consecutive week at the top of the chart.
Congratulations to BTS on their amazing achievements!
