Kim Woo Seok's Agency Announces Legal Action Against Malicious Posts And False Rumors

TOP Media has taken legal action in response to malicious posts about UP10TION’s Kim Woo Seok.

On June 21, the agency released the following statement:

Hello, this is TOP Media.

First, we sincerely thank you for sending so much love to our artist Kim Woo Seok.

Recently, there have been incidents of defamation of our artist’s character though personal attacks and malicious libel. We have therefore filed a criminal complaint with the Gangnam Police Cyber Investigation unit against the creators of such malicious posts for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.

There will be no leniency or settlements in our agency’s dealings with these defendants, and we are letting you know that we will continue to protect our artist’s rights in the future through continuous monitoring and strong legal action.

Please take note that not only the act of creating groundless and malicious posts, but also the act of reworking and spreading such posts is also grounds for criminal punishment.
