Mnet Confirms Plans To Air Male Version Of "Girls Planet 999" In 2023, With Contestants Of All Nationalities Invited To Apply
Get ready for the male version of “Girls Planet 999”!
On June 25, Mnet officially confirmed its plans to air “Boys Planet“—the male version of the 2021 audition show that gave rise to the girl group Kep1er—in the first half of 2023.
Mnet has also announced that it will be opening global auditions for “Boys Planet” from June 27 to August 21. Any male who was born before January 1, 2009 is eligible to apply, regardless of nationality, affiliation with an agency, or past experience as a singer. More information on applications will be available on the official website starting on June 27 at 1 p.m. KST.
While “Girls Planet 999” was specifically limited to Korean, Japanese, and Chinese contestants, boys from all over the world are invited to apply to “Boys Planet.”
Although “Boys Planet” already began accepting applications from potential contestants at the end of last year, the show’s production team decided to extend the application period after setting its premiere date for 2023.
