ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo Shares His Favorite Scents Linked To His Childhood, Interests, And More
ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo is the new ambassador for Dior Beauty, and he celebrated with a pictorial for Vogue!
Along with the captivating photos, the artist shared his thoughts on representing the brand and also revealed a few enticing fun facts.
Cha Eun Woo started off the interview by saying, “This is my first photo shoot in a while, and my first work as Dior Beauty Korea’s new ambassador. That in itself is a very exciting and meaningful experience.” While discussing the brand’s perfumes, he also shared a special memory tied with scents, saying, “When I visited my grandmother’s house as a kid, I would go to the stream hand in hand with my little sibling and catch crayfish and minnows. That’s all we would do all day. The crisp scent of the water, grass, and trees accompanied by the chirping sounds of birds have stayed with me as a happy memory.”
The actor also shared some fun personal details such as what he cares about most when getting his makeup done. He shared, “On stage, I try various eye makeup looks based on the concept of the performance, but personally, I like a more natural look. By the way, the finish of lips should always be dewy.”
When asked what he thinks when looking into a mirror, he answered, “‘Mmm.. [Is my face] a bit swollen today?’ This is the hardest question to answer because I don’t use a mirror often.”
Cha Eun Woo revealed that the one thing he would like to take to the moon would be a microscope. He explained, “I’m very interested in impact craters, which are made when asteroids or comets hit the surface of a planet, so I’d like to observe them for myself.” Furthermore, his biggest interest is traveling, and two songs currently in his playlist are Uhm Jung Hwa‘s “Ending Credit” and ASTRO’s “First Love.”
For relieving stress, Cha Eun Woo enjoys riding his bike to feel the wind on his body while taking in the scent of air. It makes sense that his go-to routine on a day without any scheduled activities includes having “a delicious meal after working out, comfortably watching television in the living room, or reading over a script.”
He wrapped up the interview by explaining how things have changed after entering his late 20s. He said, “I was in an ‘incomplete’ state when I was around 20 years old with much to learn. So rather than developing my sense of uniqueness, I was busy accepting and coming to terms with the given situation. But these days, I am working on becoming more proactive.”
Looking 10 years into the future, Cha Eun Woo discussed what kind of person he would like to become. He said, “[I want to be] someone who works hard at everything and knows how to enjoy it. That is probably not too far from who I am today.”
