Girls' Generation's YoonA And Jun Hyun Moo To Host 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards

The first-ever Blue Dragon Series Awards has announced its MCs!

This year, Sports Chosun—which currently presents the famous Blue Dragon Film Awards—will be launching Korea’s first award ceremony specifically for streaming platforms. With the original series content industry continuing to grow, the Blue Dragon Series Awards will honor excellence in dramas and variety shows produced by streaming services, as opposed to television networks.

On July 8, Girls’ Generation’s YoonA and Jun Hyun Moo were announced as the MCs for the first Blue Dragon Series Awards, which will take place later this month.

YoonA remarked, “I’m delighted to be a part of Blue Dragon’s new venture. I sincerely hope that the Blue Dragon Series Awards, which is kicking off at a time when streaming series content is receiving lots of love, can be a celebration that everyone can enjoy together. As an MC for the awards’ first-ever ceremony, I will do my utmost with a fluttering heart. Please show lots of interest in the Blue Dragon Series Awards.”

Meanwhile, Jun Hyun Moo commented, “I’m extremely delighted to be joining the historic Blue Dragon for the first step of their new endeavor. It’s an honor to be part of the first awards, and I hope that it will be an award ceremony that can shine for a long time. Please show lots of interest and anticipation for the Blue Dragon Series Awards, which will take place soon.”

The first Blue Dragon Series Awards will be held on July 19 at 7 p.m. KST.
