On July 8 local time, aespa kicked off the famous annual concert series with a number of exciting performances, including the premiere performance of their brand-new title track “Girls.”
Notably, aespa is only the second K-pop artist ever to perform at the event (following BTS, who performed at the “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series in 2019 and 2021). Other artists who will be taking the stage for this year’s concert series in the weeks to come include OneRepublic, Megan Thee Stallion, Demi Lovato, Ozuna, and Black Eyed Peas.
When asked how they felt to be performing in New York during the interview before their performance, Winter gestured to their fans in the crowd as she adorably replied, “I love the people. And the city vibes. And the energy. I love New York.”
