"Why Her?" Returns To No. 1 In Time Slot As Other Dramas See Decline In Ratings
SBS’s “Why Her?” has reclaimed its position at first place in its time slot!
On July 9, most dramas saw dips in their viewership ratings for their latest episode, but “Why Her?” managed to break the trend with an increase in viewership.
According to Nielsen Korea, “Why Her?” scored an average nationwide rating of 7.7 percent, marking a rise from both its previous episode the night before and its episode from last Saturday. Not only did the mystery romance drama return to first place in its time slot across all channels, but it was also the most-watched miniseries of Saturday.
Additionally, “Why Her?” remained the most-watched show in its time slot among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored an average rating of 3.0 percent.
After reaching a new all-time high the night before, MBC’s “Doctor Lawyer”—which airs in the same time slot as “Why Her?”—fell to an average nationwide rating of 6.1 percent for its latest episode.
Meanwhile, tvN’s “Alchemy of Souls” held onto its spot at first place in its time slot across all cable channels despite a decrease in viewership. The fantasy romance drama scored an average nationwide rating of 5.3 percent for its seventh episode.
“Alchemy of Souls” also remained first place in its time slot among viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it earned a nationwide average of 3.0 percent.
JTBC’s “Cleaning Up” and TV Chosun’s “Becoming Witch” both dipped to average nationwide ratings of 2.5 percent, marking a new all-time low for the latter drama.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “It’s Beautiful Now” continued its reign as the most-watched program of Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 21.3 percent.
