Lee Joon In Talks Along With Hwang Jung Eum And Yoon Jong Hoon For Uhm Ki Joon's New Drama By "The Penthouse" Creators

Lee Joon may be joining Uhm Ki Joon in a new drama titled “The Escape of the Seven” (literal title).

On July 14, JoyNews24 reported that Lee Joon will be starring in the upcoming SBS drama “The Escape of the Seven,” which will be the third joint project by scriptwriter Kim Soon Ok and director Joo Dong Min after they previously worked together on “The Last Empress” and the sensational “The Penthouse” series.

In response to the report, Lee Joon’s agency shared, “Lee Joon is reviewing the offer to star in the new SBS drama ‘The Escape of the Seven.'” Recently, the actor successfully wrapped up his KBS2 drama “Bloody Heart.” Back in 2012, Lee Joon almost starred in director Joo Dong Min’s SBS drama “Take Care of Us, Captain,” but he ultimately ended up being unable to take on the role, raising anticipation for their future potential collaboration.

“The Escape of the Seven” is a story that is being prepared in top secret revolving around seven main characters. Details on the upcoming drama have yet to be revealed. Previously, Uhm Ki Joon, who starred in “The Penthouse” series, was confirmed to star in the show by his agency. Yoon Jong Hoon and Hwang Jung Eum were also revealed to be in talks for the drama, while Shin Eun Kyung is reported to join the cast.
