Former APRIL Member Kim Chaewon Signs With New Agency

Former APRIL member Kim Chaewon has signed with a new agency!

On July 19, Janggoon Entertainment announced their new exclusive contract with Kim Chaewon and shared, “Starting with a fan meeting to greet fans who have been waiting a long time, we plan to provide full support so that [Chaewon] can engage in a wider array of activities, more actively.”

Kim Chaewon first debuted as a member of April in 2015 and DSP Media announced the group’s disbandment early this year. Following the disbandment, the members all shared handwritten letters and Chaewon parted ways with the agency shortly after.

In addition to her activities with APRIL, Chaewon has also been active as an actress, appearing in projects like “Love Naggers 3,” “Reply Pyeongchang, 100°F,” and “Third Person Dating Perspective” (literal title), and interacts with fans through her personal YouTube channel “Honey Chaen.”

For fans who have waited a long time, Chaewon will kick off activities with her first-ever fan meeting titled “To April” on July 24.

Janggoon Entertainment is also home to stars like announcer Kim Sung Joo, comedians Jung Sung Ho and Park So Ra, singer Park Kwang Sun, and more.
