Seo Hyun Jin and Hwang In Yeop have shared parting messages following the finale of SBS’s “Why Her?”

“Why Her?” is a mystery romance drama starring Seo Hyun Jin as Oh Soo Jae, a cold-hearted lawyer who has grown empty after only chasing success, and Hwang In Yeop as law student Gong Chan, who would do anything to protect her.

Seo Hyun Jin began, “Since this was a project that took a long time to film and one that took my focus in many ways, it feels like we reached the finale too fast, and that’s a shame. Thank you so much for watching until the end.”

The actress also commented on the drama’s popularity as she said with a laugh, “I’m usually at home with my dog so I couldn’t get a sense of its popularity since I didn’t go anywhere where I could. However, I heard that a lot of people are visiting the places that appeared in the drama, so I figured that a lot of people might be watching. I’m grateful.”

Seo Hyun Jin shared her thoughts on working together with her fellow cast members, saying, “It was an honor to work together with Heo Joon Ho and Kim Chang Wan. I’m always learning something from them, whether it be about acting or life.”

As for what she hopes Oh Soo Jae will be doing after the drama’s end, she mused, “There’s a life I hope she’s living. One where she lets go a little and is more happy and honest to herself.”

Seo Hyun Jin concluded with her message to the viewers. She shared, “Thank you for tuning in to the drama. The moment I left the set, the drama became not mine, but the viewers’. I hope that you had a great time watching and I hope you’ll always be in good health. Thank you.”

Hwang In Yeop relayed his gratitude through his own closing message, saying, “Thank you for tuning in to ‘Why Her?’ throughout this time. It was truly a happy and precious time to be able to live as Gong Chan from last fall until this summer.”

He added, “I want to extend my thanks to all of the cast, as well as the people who worked behind the curtain, including the director, writer, and all of the staff. I’ll keep working hard to return with a more improved version of myself and an even better production. Thank you.”

“Why Her?” aired its final episode on July 23.
