"Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist" And "Hunted" Join Ratings Race With Promising Starts
tvN’s “Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist” and MBC’s “Hunted” premiered last night!
According to Nielsen Korea, the August 1 premiere of “Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist” garnered an average nationwide rating of 3.864. This is a boost in ratings from the score of 2.228 percent achieved by the finale of its predecessor drama “Link” as well as the drama’s premiere score of 3.124 percent.
“Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist” depicts the story of Yoo Se Poong (Kim Min Jae), a well-known internal medicine doctor who gets expelled from the royal court after getting caught up in a conspiracy. Afterwards, he meets Seo Eun Woo (Kim Hyang Gi) and Gye Ji Han (Kim Sang Kyung) in the strange and beautiful Gyesu village and works to become a true doctor who heals the heart.
KBS2’s “Café Minamdang” achieved an average nationwide rating of 4.1 percent for episode 11, marking a dip in ratings from the previous week’s score of 5.5 percent.
MBC’s new four-part drama “Hunted” recorded an average nationwide rating of 3.1 percent for its premiere. Starring Park Ho San, the drama follows the story of one man’s struggle to find his missing son who disappeared on the night a person was accidentally shot.
