TXT Becomes 2nd K-Pop Artist In History To Chart Multiple Albums For 11 Weeks On Billboard 200
TXT’s “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” continues to extend its record as the longest-charting K-pop album of 2022 on the Billboard 200!
After debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 three months ago, TXT’s latest mini album is now spending its 11th consecutive week on the U.S. main albums chart. For the week ending on August 6, “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” held relatively steady at No. 138, making it the first K-pop album of the year to chart for 11 weeks on the Billboard 200.
TXT is now only the second K-pop artist in history—following BTS—to have multiple albums chart for 11 weeks each on the Billboard 200. The group previously achieved the feat with their 2021 album “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE,” which spent 13 weeks on the chart last year.
“minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” also climbed back up to No. 5 on the World Albums chart this week, in addition to holding onto its spot at No. 7 on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart.
Finally, TXT rose to No. 60 on Billboard’s Artist 100 in their 30th overall week on the chart.
Congratulations to TXT on their impressive achievement!
