aespa Becomes 3rd K-Pop Girl Group Ever To Chart An Album On Billboard 200 For 3 Weeks
aespa has just reached an exciting new milestone on the Billboard 200!
Last month, aespa’s second mini album “Girls” debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 (the commonly used name for Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States). In addition to “Girls” becoming only the third album by a female K-pop artist ever to chart within the top 3 spots, the debut also made aespa the fastest female K-pop act in history to enter the top 3.
“Girls” is now spending its third consecutive week on the Billboard 200: for the week ending on August 6, the mini album stayed strong at No. 147 on the chart.
With this latest achievement, aespa has become only the third K-pop girl group in history to chart an album for three weeks on the Billboard 200, following BLACKPINK and TWICE.
“Girls” also continued to perform well on numerous other Billboard charts, taking No. 6 on the World Albums chart and sweeping the No. 9 spot on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart.
Finally, aespa charted at No. 74 on this week’s Artist 100, while their title track “Girls” ranked No. 100 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 176 on the Global 200.
Congratulations to aespa!
