ITZY Becomes 4th K-Pop Girl Group In History To Chart An Album On Billboard 200 For 3 Weeks
ITZY has just achieved a career first on the Billboard 200!
After making an impressive debut at No. 8 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart (a weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States that is commonly referred to as the Billboard 200) last month, ITZY’s latest mini album “CHECKMATE” has now become the group’s first album ever to spend three consecutive weeks on the chart. For the week ending on August 13, “CHECKMATE” stayed strong at No. 167.
ITZY is only the fourth K-pop girl group in history to chart an album for three weeks on the Billboard 200, following BLACKPINK, TWICE, and aespa (who just achieved the feat last week).
Aside from the Billboard 200, ITZY also remained a force to be reckoned with on several other Billboard charts this week. “CHECKMATE” came in at No. 8 on the World Albums chart, No. 10 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 11 on the Top Album Sales chart.
Meanwhile, ITZY’s latest title track “SNEAKERS” held steady at No. 95 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 172 on the Global 200.
Congratulations to ITZY!
