TXT Becomes 1st K-Pop Artist To Spend 12 Weeks On Billboard 200 With 2022 Album
A full three months after its release, TXT’s latest mini album is still going strong on the U.S. charts!
After debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 back in May, TXT’s “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” is currently spending its 12th consecutive week on the chart—extending its own record as the longest-charting K-pop album of 2022. For the week ending on August 13, “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” remained relatively stable at No. 157.
With this latest achievement, TXT has now become only the second K-pop artist in history (following BTS) to chart multiple albums for 12 weeks each on the Billboard 200. (Before “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child,” the group first achieved the feat with their 2021 album “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” last year.)
“minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” also stayed strong at No. 7 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, No. 11 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 12 on the Top Album Sales chart this week.
Finally, TXT ranked No. 89 on this week’s Artist 100, marking their 31st overall week on the chart.
Congratulations to TXT on their ongoing success on the Billboard charts!
