Watch: Jung Woo Stops At Nothing In Inspirational Poster And Teaser For tvN's Upcoming Sports Drama
tvN has unveiled a new teaser and poster for their upcoming sports drama starring Jung Woo!
“Mental Coach Jegal” is about a former national athlete who quits sports after causing a scandal and becomes a mental coach to help former professional athletes who have retired and current athletes who have fallen into a slump.
Jung Woo stars as former national Taekwondo athlete Je Gal Gil who later becomes a mental coach at the athlete’s village. After he causes an unprecedented accident in the village during his athlete days, Je Gal Gil is permanently expelled and coined the unlucky Taekwondo prodigy.
Once he overcomes his past trauma and regains his mental health, Je Gal Gil returns to the village as a mental coach. There, he meets Cha Ga Eul (Lee Yoo Mi) who reminds him of his younger self, leaving him to face his inner wounds and reach a surprising turning point in his life.
The new main poster for “Mental Coach Jegal” features a smiley Je Gal Gil sitting on a fence covered in inspirational signs. The stop sign is written over to read “start” while another sign says “LIFE IS GREAT.” The caption of the bright poster reads, “I decide the pace and distance of my life! Why not?”
The drama’s first teaser expands on this fence idea as Je Gal Gil is shown on a stroll. Suddenly, he’s blocked by a fence that says “DO NOT ENTER, no road.” Instead of being discouraged or thrown off, Je Gal Gil confidently attacks the fence, eventually forcing his way through and creating his own path.

“Mental Coach Jegal” premieres on September 12 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
