BTS's J-Hope Joins Hope Bridge Disaster Relief Association’s Honors Club As Major Donor
BTS’s J-Hope has officially become a member of the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association’s Honors Club!
On August 18, the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association announced that J-Hope donated 100 million won (approximately $75,900) to help overcome the damages from heavy rain around the central region of Korea. With this donation, J-Hope has officially joined the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association’s Honors Club as a major donor. Earlier in March, fellow BTS member Suga also joined the Honors Club. Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association Secretary-General Kim Jung Hee remarked, “I am grateful for J-Hope’s heartfelt act for the victims.”
J-Hope was previously recognized by ChildFund Korea as a member of the Green Noble Club in 2018 for making donations greater than 100 million won. In 2019, the singer donated 100 million won to his alma mater to fund scholarships and another 100 million won to finance treatment for child patients. In 2020, he donated 100 million won to assist children from low-income families struggling through COVID-19, and in 2021, he donated 150 million won (approximately $113,700) in celebration for his birthday.
J-Hope released his solo album “Jack In The Box” last month.
