Kang Daniel Halts All Activities After Testing Positive For COVID-19
Kang Daniel has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
On August 18, his agency KONNECT Entertainment shared that the artist will be halting all activities after testing positive for the virus. In addition to “SUMMER SONIC 2022” in Japan, he will not be able to attend the press conference for Mnet’s “Street Man Fighter.”

Hello, this is KONNECT Entertainment.
Our artist Kang Daniel took a PCR test on August 17 before leaving the country to participate in “SUMMER SONIC 2022” and was diagnosed with COVID-19.
It is estimated that he was infected between August 15 and 16 during rehearsal.
Kang Daniel has completed the third dose of the vaccine, and he currently does not have any particular symptoms.
All the [results of the] preemptive PCR tests that he took on August 12, 13, and 14 came back negative.
In this regard, Kang Daniel will halt all schedules and focus on treatment and recovery in self-isolation in accordance with the guidelines of the health authorities.
He will not be able to appear on “SUMMER SONIC 2022” scheduled for August 20 and 21. We will update you about his other scheduled activities later.
In addition, all the staff underwent preemptive rapid antigen tests, and everyone tested negative.
