Ha Seok Jin Is A Perfectionist Judge Who Isn't Afraid To Take The Bull By The Horns In New Drama "Blind"
tvN’s “Blind” has shared a sneek peek of Ha Seok Jin in his starring role!
“Blind” is a mystery thriller that depicts the story of people who have unfairly become victims because they are ordinary and perpetrators who have closed their eyes to the uncomfortable truths. The story centers around detectives, judges, law school students, and jurors.
2PM’s Taecyeon plays Ryu Sung Joon, a violent crimes detective who is hell bent on catching criminals. He’s always willing to go undercover, and due to his determination, his arrest rate is among the top. Because of his excessive motivation, he’s sometimes mistaken as a thug.
Apink’s Jung Eun Ji stars as the social worker Jo Eun Ki. After overcoming all sorts of hardships, Jo Eun Ki becomes a social worker to help at least one more child, and she is a generous and broad-minded person despite her young age.
Ha Seok Jin takes on the role of Ryu Sung Joon’s older brother Ryu Sung Hoon. He’s also a genius who graduated at the top of his class and became a perfectionist judge. He’s a straightforward person who does his best to make a fair judgement. He even goes as far as to not build any personal friendships, earning him the nickname “The legendary judge who eats alone.”
One day, Ryu Sung Hoon runs into an unexpected crisis when the jurors who attended his trial starts to die one by one while the criminal he convicted is in prison. In the end, he takes matters into his own hands to find the culprit and make up for the disgrace of having created an unjust victim.
In newly released stills from the upcoming drama, Ryu Sung Hoon works earnestly to uncover the truth. He’s the type of judge who constantly agonizes over each case as if his life depends on it, and he reads the ruling with confidence about his decision. In one photo, Ryu Sung Hoon searches each clue to find the real criminal who interfered with his trial. Depending on the dim light in his office, he scrutinizes the papers piled up on his desk. He shows a high level of concentration that hints he’s not one to be easily distracted. Another still depicts him heading home after ending work late at night. He looks deep in thought, piquing curiosity about what he’s so desperately searching for.
The producers of “Blind” remarked, “The combination of actor Ha Seok-jin’s solid acting and the solemn atmosphere of the court flawlessly depicts the perfect character of Ryu Sung Hoon. Through Ryu Sung Hoon, viewers will be able to see a new side of actor Ha Seok Jin that they’ve never seen before.”
The first episode of “Blind” will air on September 16 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
